What did you do before you joined Ognomy?

I worked at Sanford Health in Fargo as both a respiratory therapist and sleep tech from 2007 until joining Ognomy this April. Following obtaining my MBA last August I also worked a part-time contract with iNAP,  which is an alternative therapy for OSA.

What is your role at Ognomy?

I am the Physician Success Champion. I am still learning what that all entails. I will be an advocate for providers joining the platform and who are on the platform.

Why did you join Ognomy?

I realized that I loved the clinical side of sleep medicine and did not want to give that up. I also loved the idea of helping to bring about a new type of product or service to treat sleep apnea. I came across Ognomy on LinkedIn and it looked like a perfect fit!

What’s the best thing about your job?

I love the one-on-one conversations with providers so far. Knowing I have made them feel heard and helping them to figure out what they need to be successful is very rewarding. I’m excited to help more providers have a voice as they join the platform.

What has surprised you the most about working in telehealth?

How simple it is! It is so convenient, and with how busy everyone is, telehealth really helps to save time so people can get back to their day.

What’s your one prediction for the future of telehealth?

I think as time goes on, any appointment that can be done via telehealth will be done via teleheatlh. I think it will continue have a huge role in increasing access to care.  Providers are able to see more patients in a day than they would in person, and those interactions can be more focused because they are less rushed.

What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?

I love to run-although I haven’t done as much of that as I would like the last couple of years. I am getting back into it now and training for another marathon. I love to spend time with my husband Andy and son Nolan. During the summer, we like to spend every extra moment at our lake cabin!

Dogs or cats?

Both! We have a big Aussiedoodle named Captain Hook, and two cats- Mildred and TugBoat.

Facebook or Instagram?

Instagram for the posts, but I keep Facebook to stay in touch with family.

Coke or Pepsi?

Coca-cola classic!
