I am very excited to be part of the Ognomy team and to have the opportunity to bring better sleep to patients in the comfort of their environment and provide more focused care. I have lived in Dallas Texas since 1997.
I am a sleep medicine physician who also practices in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. I became interested in sleep medicine due to the fact that sleep disorders are common, and if left untreated, can have significant long-term health consequences and decrease quality of life. I enjoy educating my patients on their medical problems and I encourage them to play an active role in their care. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I am originally from the Chicago area. I graduated from Northwestern with a BA in Psychology, then on to medical school at Rush University in Chicago, and continued training with residency and fellowship at Loyola University. I look forward to diagnosing and treating sleep apnea in a broader patient population as the benefits to overall health and quality of life are so important.

I am a bio-experienced nurse practitioner with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry. Skilled in sleep medicine, critical care medicine, psychiatry, healthcare, and medicine. Strong healthcare services professional with a Masters of Science in Adult Health Nurse Practitioner from Daemen College.
I have been in clinical practice as a physician assistant since 2004, when I began work in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. I joined the Sleep Medicine Centers of Western New York in 2010 as I sought to focus on the treatment of adult and pediatric sleep disorders. The aspects of my job that are most rewarding are meeting new people, being able to teach them regarding their condition and how to comply with therapy, as well as making a positive difference. Outside of providing direct patient care, I have also given various presentations pertaining to obstructive sleep apnea in the Buffalo community. I have acted as a mentor to students interested in the PA profession, as well as Sleep Medicine. I completed my Physician Assistant degree at Daemen College in Amherst, NY in May 2004 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Cansius College in Buffalo, NY in May 2001. I am board certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA with professional associations including the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Western New York Physician Assistant Association and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
I am a board certified Physician Assistant working in collaboration with Dr. Rifkin since 2004. As a Physician Assistant in Sleep Medicine, my primary focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of both adult and pediatric sleep disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome (Willis-Ekbom disease) and others. Currently, I am a provider in New York State, practice administrator at the Sleep Medicine Centers of Western New York, as well as a guest lecturer at Daemen College. These roles have provided me with a unique opportunity to work with students, colleagues, and patients regarding a variety of not only sleep disorders but often in the setting of challenging comorbid medical issues in a team-based approach. I look forward to bringing this same standard of care from years of experience into telemedicine.
I am the Founder and Medical Director of the Sleep Medicine Centers of Western New York, which was first established in 2002. It’s hard to believe we’ve treated more than 100,000 patients over the years.
Board Certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine, I focus the majority of my practice on the treatment of adult and pediatric sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless legs among many others. In addition, as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at UB, I teach students, residents, and fellows the joys of sleep medicine and engage in clinical research. I love what we do for our patients and how much we strive to improve their lives. I’m thrilled to bring all my years of sleep medicine practice into the world of telemedicine, and honored to work with the entire Ognomy team.
