Get to know the team behind Ognomy on a personal level

Samantha Nicholas, Patient Care Coordinator

Samantha is an experienced healthcare professional who joined Ognomy June of 2022.

What did you do before you joined Ognomy?

Before coming on as a member of Ognomy, I worked for Northside Hospital in outpatient surgery as a financial advisor and billing specialist. I also work for Wellstar Health Care system as a billing specialist. 

What is your role at Ognomy?

I work in administration.

Why did you join Ognomy?

I joined Ognomy because I wanted to grow. I felt that even though it was something different for me, it was still an opportunity to for me to learn and grow, not just as a person but professionally as well. I am glad I made the decision because I have learned so much. I am looking forward to what feature holds.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Being able to help in any capacity.

What has surprised you the most about working in Telehealth?

Some of the challenges that telehealth faces are much different than being in a regular healthcare facility. Such as making sure that patients are consistent and are held accountable.

What’s your one prediction for the future of Telehealth?

Telehealth will continue to grow because most people are now finding it to be a more convenient way of receiving medical attention. 

What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?

When I am not working I am studying for my masters degree and real estate license. I also love spending time with my girls and running my personal blog sippoftea.

Dogs or cats?

I have a cat name Shadow. 

Facebook or Instagram?

I love Instagram because of my blog. I grew my blog from 18 followers to over 20k followers and still growing so for me that’s my platform and my baby.

Coke or Pepsi?

I don’t do sodas. 

iOS or Android?

I love Android, but I currently use IOS.
